- Updated: June 17, 2013
It was with great pride that the faculty and staff of La Feria High School congratulated and presented diplomas to the 217 graduates of the Class of 2013 during last week’s Commencement Ceremony.
The administration and instructors were particularly pleased that all 10 Top Graduates will be attending colleges and universities this fall. Of the 10 top graduates, two students came in for special praise. They are: Yasmine Berrones, 2013 Class Valedictorian; and Sarah Danielle Torres, 2013 Class Salutatorian. Principal Robert Munoz said, “These young ladies represent La Feria’s best, and it brings us great joy to share their achievements with the Rio Grande Valley.”
217 Senior students crossed the stage to receive their diploma. Of that number,182 (84%) attended La Feria High School. 35 (16%) graduated from the La Feria Academy.
Principal Munoz said this about the class of 2013: “We are so proud of the many achievements of these outstanding graduates. And, also, as I complete my first year as Principal of the La Feria High School, I am honored to be associated with such a professional staff of teachers and support people.”
