The United States Naval Academy in lovely Annapolis, MD offers young men and women a moral, mental, and physical challenge unlike any other university. The rigors of the Naval Academy encompass everything from academics to fitness and provide numerous opportunities for those willing to accept the challenge.

Aside from commissioning as an officer in the United States Navy or Marine Corps upon graduation, the Naval Academy imbues midshipmen with leadership development, cultural awareness, and the self-discipline required to be an effective leader both in and out of the armed forces.

Midshipman First Class Thomas Kraft, a Harlingen native, participated in a program called OPINFO over the Thanksgiving break which is aimed at providing students with information about the opportunities the United States Naval Academy has to offer.

Midshipman Kraft visited 300 students from all across the Rio Grande Valley during the program.
