Principal Villarreal Wins Big

The Villarreals pose in the dining room of the high-tech Austin Home during a tour at the end of this month.
Sam Houston principal Isabel Villarreal had no idea what she was in for when she went out to dinner with her husband, Superintendent Rey Villarreal on the evening of Wednesday, July 8th. Unbeknown to her, she was the lucky winner of a modern Austin farmhouse located in the historic Zilker Park neighborhood of Austin, TX, a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and a $100,000 cash prize provided by national mortgage lender Quicken Loans.
With the help of La Feria ISD Superintendent Rey Villarreal, HGTV host Tiffany Brooks and an HGTV production crew ambush Isabel Villarreal at Stefano’s Brooklyn Pizza in Harlingen

The Villarreals have been avid fans of the HGTV home giveaways for many years and when they saw the new promotion for the high-tech Austin home in March of this year they began entering in earnest – twice a day, every day.
Their perserverence paid off when HGTV contacted Mr. Villarreal to alert him of his wife’s winnings and the possibility of arranging a suprise reveal at a local restaurant.
Isabel’s name was chosen from more than 40 million entries for the HGTV Smart Home Giveaway 2015.
The Villarreals will be featured in the Smart Home 2015 winner special airing on HGTV August 14th at 12 noon.
