Annual City Celebration Returns!
The 24th Annual Fiesta de La Feria will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. The festival is a family oriented gathering traditionally held in the city of La Feria, on Main Street (downtown) just south of Business 83.
This year the Fiesta will include a Car Show, Art Competition, the Fiesta Fred & Freida Coloring Contest, the Baking Competition, and the Tiny/Lil’/Jr. Mr. & Miss Fiesta de La Feria!
The Grito and Dance Competitions will take place at the Main Stage during the festival.
A variety of family oriented entertainment will also be on tap all day like a kid’s corner, rides and games, a variety of live bands, dancing, food, and arts & crafts vendors.
Baking Contest
The items must be entirely home baked, not store bought, and must be in a disposable container (containers will not be returned). All entries must submit a copy of their recipe at time of delivery. The items must be delivered to the Theatre Building at 122 E. Oleander Ave. between 10:45 am and 11:30 am the day of the Fiesta. No late entries will be accepted. All cupcakes, cookies, bars, brownies, etc. must be submitted in a baker’s dozen (13). No pre-made crusts, icing, frosting, or other items allowed.
Only one entry per person per category allowed. Judging will start at 12 pm. Winners will be announced immediately following judging. Ribbons will be Awarded to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Winners in each Category (Three categories – Cake/Cupcake, Pie, and Cookies/Bars).
A Grande Champion will be chosen from the 1st Place Winners in each Category.

Commercial Ave. in La Feria, by 4:30 PM February 17, 2016. $5 per entry.
Car Show
The Car Show registration will be from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. No registration after 2:00 pm. First fifty registered will receive a free t-shirt and goody bag. An awards ceremony will be held from 5pm – 6pm. Categories include Classic, Truck/4×4, Modern, Import, Muscle and Lowrider. First, second and third place winners will be chosen in each category and a Mayor’s Choice and Most Car Club Participants winners will also awarded. A 50/50 Raffle will be held with proceeds to benefit the La Feria Veterans Memorial. Entry fee for the car show is a bag of canned goods or $5, with proceeds to be donated to St. Francis Xavier Food Pantry. Art Contest
The 24th Annual Fiesta de La Feria Art Contest is open to two grade levels: 6th – 8th grade and 9th-12th grade. Artists can submit work in in three different divisions: Drawing, Painting and Sculpture.
This year’s Art Contest theme wil be “South Texas Style”.
The art gallery will open at 11:00 a.m. and remain open during the Fiesta. First, second and third place will be awarded in each division per grade level. 6th Annual Tiny/Lil’/Jr./Mr. & Miss Fiesta de La Feria Contest
Held in conjunction with all the other activities during the annual Fiesta de La Feria, this contest is open to boys and girls grades PreK4 – 6th. The competition will be held at 3:30 pm in the Cultural Arts Center, 122 E. Oleander Ave, La Feria.
This year’s theme is “South Texas Style”. A pair of winners, one boy and one girl, will be selected in each division by a panel of judges.
