The Santa Rosa Warriors basketball team won their Tuesday, February 28 neutral playoff game against Corpus Christi London Pirates by a score of 90-40. This was the Class 3A regional quarterfinal game. The game was held in the La Feria High School gym, which was packed to capacity. At the time of publication the Warriors advanced to the Region IV-3A tournament in Seguin for the second time in a row, this time to face the Poth Pirates Friday, March 3 in Poth, TX. They would defeat Poth (69-62) and the next opponents Schulenburg (on the 4th… final score 73-55). They would make it to the State Semifinals against #1 Dallas Madison but succumb 84-44. This is the second time in school history that the team has made it to State Semifinals.
