Mercedes Lions Club Names Melvin Jones Fellow
- Updated: July 12, 2013
The Mercedes Lions Club recognized member Lindley Lentz with the distinction of being a Melvin Jones Fellow. He was honored at the club’s Installation Banquet with a plaque and a pin. The Melvin Jones award, named after the founder of Lions Clubs International, is given in recognition of contributions made to Lions International Foundation which serves people in need throughout the world. The Mercedes Lions Club recently donated $1000 to the Foundation to help with clean-up and reconstruction in the wake of the tornados in Oklahoma. Lindley Lentz has been a member of the Mercedes Lions Club since 1978. His father, Fleet Lentz was also a Melvin Jones Fellow.
