Halloween in the Park Brings Out the Beauties and the Beasts
- Updated: November 8, 2013

The community came out to enjoy the variety of family oriented activities
The first annual “Halloween in the Park” event held Saturday, October 26 was a smashing success with more than 75 entries in the costume contest alone.
“It was good to see the new generation in La Feria out and enjoying themselves,” commented City Manager Sunny K. Philip.
The family friendly gathering was held at the Veteran’s Memorial Park across from the new Youth Recreation Center on Pancho Maples Drive in La Feria. There were several entries in the pumpkin carving contest.

A pretty little “Dorothy” and bumble bee were in costume for the event.
Youth Center Director Frank Tamez organized the funfest and was assisted by the La Feria Events Committee, Events Coordinator Tabitha Outlaw and Alfonso Rodriguez.
“Halloween in the Park” will be added to the regular roster of assorted community activities and programs organized by the committee.
