La Feria Shriners Set Date for Huge Garage Sale
- Updated: November 29, 2013
Annual Fund Raiser Supports Work with Children
The officers of the La Feria Shriners Club have designated Friday, December 6, 2013 as the date for their annual appeal to ask support for their charitable work with crippled, handicapped and burned children under 18 years of age. Many of these desperate children have no other hope for medical care. For the treatable children, the Shriners pick up all the bills. The all-day event will be staged from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
This community-wide event is now welcoming donations of any kind up until December 5th according to Event Coordinator, Laureta Foster. Bring your donation to the Shrine Club or call Laureta at (956) 797-4923.
The international humanitarian work of the Shriners is supported by annual garage sales, their popular Bingo Games, the weekly breakfasts, and rentals of the building.
“These activities are our main support to keep the La Feria Shrine building operational.”
The Shrine Club building is located between Kansas City Road and White Ranch north of Expressway 83. Please help in any way you can. You’ll always find some great bargains Laureta assures.
