La Feria Tennis Claims District Championship

The La Feria tennis team defeated Rio Hondo 17-2 in singles and doubles matches to finish 1st in district team tennis play with a perfect 4-0 record. The team was led by Seniors Rose Serrata and Chris Rodriguez who both won their singles and doubles matches. The team now advances to the regional tournament which will be held in the southwest part of Austin area. The sites will include the Polo Tennis and Fitness Club in Austin, Dripping Springs High School, Dripping Springs Middle School, and Wimberley High School. Matches will start Friday morning and conclude Saturday afternoon.
