Excessive Speed Factor in Neighborhood Vehicle Accident

The driver of a red truck was sited for failure to control speed and improper passing after he hit another vehicle and careened through a wrought iron fence and brick sign on the corner of the Buena Vida Apartments on Canal Street according to investigating La Feria Patrolman Utley.
An eyewitness told police that the truck’s driver passed two cars in the residential area at a high rate of speed and then hit a gray Chevrolet that was attempting a left hand turn onto Spruce.
Both vehicles, along with the fence and sign received extensive damage. EMS attended to minor injuries at the scene with no one transported. La Feria fireman were on hand to secure the vehicles.
