La Feria Lions Club Seeking Members

Most people have no idea what Lions Clubs do or why you might want to become a Lion. Even those who do know that Lions help with sight problems, have no idea what else Lions do.
Lions clubs raise money with a variety of community events, like a “Turkey Shoot”, a Bar-B-Que or a raffle. Every penny raised in this manner goes to charitable causes, none of it goes for salaries, not a penny. All of the money the La Feria Lions club raises, stays local. The money that the La Feria Lions club raises buys eye glasses for school children whose parents can’t afford to pay for the glasses. It goes into the annual Christmas Toy give-away in the El Centro parking lot. It goes to college scholarships to graduating high school seniors. It goes to sponsoring a high school Leo’s club. It goes to sending a disabled child to summer camp It goes to all kinds of worthy community projects.
