- Updated: February 14, 2014
Starring La Feria’s Own Celebrities

John Strong, Paris Jenkins and Julius Squeezer
Kenny’s Funland Carnival and cold weather arrived in La Feria at the same time, but nothing stops real carnival troopers–the show goes on. And go on it did!
Carnival owners Kim and Johnny Maple said this year’s show is featuring 40 top attractions, including their new thriller ride dubbed–“THE DROP ZONE.“ “Hold on to your hat,” advised Johnny.
This show business couple are happy to be back in town because La Feria is their hometown.

Stars of the show: John Strong, Johnny and Kim Maple, Paris Jenkins, Kayla Kadavera and Sandra Strong.
Their families are long time residents, and they graduated from La Feria High School where they met. They still live here when they are not on the road with their show.
A star feature of this year’s show is John Strong and his monkey “Jocko.” This famous pair appears with carnivals and circuses coast-to-coast during the year. John’s claim to fame is when he appeared as a fire-eater in a circus episode of the TV series Batman Returns.
Katya Kadavera, the tattooed, leopard-lady, has an act you don’t want to miss either. What she does, you have to see to believe. She is billed as the amazing, mysterious Snow Leopardess.

Don’t leave the carnival grounds without seeing Paris Jenkins with his 15-foot long Burmese Python. The snake’s name is Julius Squeezer. This show is not for the faint-hearted or the squeamish Paris says.
The Carnival will be in town until Thursday of this week. If you missed this fabulous show because of weather, be advised there are five more days. They are set up just south of McDonald’s in La Feria. You can still experience a few thrills and chills.
