La Feria ISD Expands its Student Transfer Policy

Do you work within the La Feria ISD boundaries and want to transfer your child to La Feria ISD? Have you moved away from the district, but you want to keep your child in the La Feria Independent School District? This year you have that choice.
La Feria Independent School District is accepting out-of-district transfer students based upon the following criteria: 1. Parent is an employee of the La Feria ISD. 2. Parent is an employee of a company or workplace within the La Feria School District boundaries. 3. Child indicated in the application has attended school in the La Feria ISD for at least one school year and currently resides outside of the District. 4. Child indicated in the application has not attended school in the La Feria ISD for at least one school year, but the student’s sibling(s) did attend for at least one school year.
The application for request for transfer can be located on the District website at www.laferiaisd.org, or the application can also be obtained at any campus in the district.
The FDA (Local) exemption policy was adopted by the Board of Trustees in July 2014. By following the above guidelines, you can become a part of our La Feria ISD family.
The La Feria ISD is proud of its efforts to expand our educational opportunities for its students. This year we our expanding our high school agriculture program as well as the certification opportunities for the medical professions. We have also added a choir program in 6th – 12th grade as well as opportunities for students to participate in a cosmetology program.
