LA FERIA JOB FAIR TAKES PLACE OCT. 23

Dozens of area businesses to conduct on-site interviews

La Feria, TEXAS – If you would like to start earning some money in time for the holidays, attend the La Feria Job Fair. The La Feria Job Fair takes place Thursday, Oct. 23 from 1-6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of La Feria.

Whether it is full-time, part-time or seasonal work, job seekers can connect with dozens of employers at the fair. Most of the employers, such as Chili’s, Old Navy and United Healthcare, will conduct on-site interviews. Plus, Internet-ready computers will be available at the job fair so applicants can immediately fill out and submit their applications online.

The La Feria Job Fair is free to both job seekers and employers. Employers who wish to participate in the job fair should contact the coordinator at (956) 454-1610 by Oct. 3. Job seekers who do not have transportation to the event should contact Valley Metro at 1-800-574-8322 for the bus route and schedule.

The Methodist church is located at 318 S. East. St., off Main Street. It sits next to Tiny Town park and across from the La Feria public library.

The employers who will be at job fair include ACT Call Center, Banana Republic Outlet, Chili’s Mercedes, Dockers Outlet, La Feria Independent School District, Levi’s Outlet, Mercedes Independent School District, Old Navy Outlet, The Children’s Place Outlet, Time Warner Cable, United Healthcare, U.S. Army and Whataburger La Feria.

The fair is being sponsored by First United Methodist Church of La Feria and Workforce Solutions Cameron.
