Evening Fundraiser Nets More Than $200 For Cystic Fibrosis Research
Story By Shawn Munguia
Over 200 people made their way to the September 8 even, Evening of Shopping in La Feria and made their way to The Hair Shoppe where Del Carmen hosted the event.
The fundraiser will help by being reinvested to the big October 25 fundraising event and 5K Run/Walk.
“I just want to thank the people for coming out and supporting the Shop for a Cause for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,” says event coordinator Reva M. Ayala. “And the vendors along with Carmen for the use of her shop.
The October event will have a deejay, info booths and much more. They are looking for volunteers as well.
“We have a little more this year,” Ayala says.
She also says that 90% of the money raised for the CFF goes to research and the Shop for a Cause event won’t be the last, in fact, it isn’t the last of the year.
“We are looking forward to a Shop for a Cause this Christmas season,” says Ayala. “It will probably be in November but times and info are pending.”
