Gonzales Downs La Feria In Bi-District Play
- Updated: December 1, 2014

The Lion defense brings down the Apache ball carrier.

Russ Gonzalez takes the ball down field.
The La Feria Lions entered Friday’s night football game knowing they would have to be at their best to beat a very tough Gonzales Apache team. Gonzales played very tough defense all game long and held the high powered Lion offense to thirteen points for the game. The Lion defense played well at times, but the dynamic and fast Apache offense was tough to handle. Gonzales went on to defeat the Lions 41 – 13 and gain the Bi-District Championship. Despite the tough loss to a very good Apache team, the Lions had a very good football season and finished 6 – 4 overall. The seniors left their mark and represented La Feria with class and respect throughout the season. Although they finished the season with a loss they leave the Lion program well represented and carry with them great memories playing beside their brothers, playing for their coaches, and playing in front of their friends and families.

Isaac Galpin hands off the ball to Adrian Torres.
