Bunton Auto Supply sponsored the 12th annual Classic Car show for the benefit of local children during the Toys for Tots fund raiser. Members of the Valley-based classic car owners association known as Los Castigadores Land Cruisers showed off their immaculately, modified classic wheels to hundreds of impressed visitors and fellow Toys for Tots supporters.
The officers of the classic car club and Wally and Brian Bunton were highly pleased with the turnout this year; especially so, because the show was rescheduled from the previous weekend because of inclement weather.

Wally and Brian have been providing their location and the distinctive T-shirts for the popular event since 2002, It is always staged on a Sunday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. The parking lots of their Bunton Auto Supply and Machine Shop located on West Business 83 in Mercedes served as the venue for the well-supported classic car show.
Brian said that he and his father are great believers in supporting the community and this is one special way they can help the local car club members and children at the same time.

To raise pre-Christmas funds for kids, the admission to the show for each car-owner was a donation of two toys (1 for a girl, 1 for a boy). The public was also invited to bring a donation of toys, if they cared to–many did, they report.
The Bunton family works closely with the city and the public-spirited members of the car club. Felix de Anda of La Feria is the Project Coordinator of Los Castigadores Land Cruisers. If you missed the 2014 Mercedes Classic Car Show, there is always a next time.
