La Feria’s Customer-Friendly Pizzeria
Nationwide, Domino’s is not only known for mouth-watering, delicious pizzas, but also for their customer-friendly home delivery system. This direct-to-the-door delivery of their piping-hot orders makes them unique in the industry.
Maria Martinez, La Feria Domino’s Pizza store manager, has been with the company 11 years. She says, “our system of direct delivery is the secret to our success–not just the great product we produce, but the convenience of hot pizza direct to the door–usually “fresh and hot” within a half-hour of the call-in. We deliver lots of pizzas at lunch to busy business people in their offices or shops. In the evening, it’s mostly to home for families or parties.”
So, as a result of our delivery system and product, Domino’s is capitalizing on the “joy of pizza” almost everywhere in their international stores. “That is why you see our brightly colored delivery wagons on the streets of La Feria day and night,” Martinez said, adding with a smile, “and we always have specials in the store and on-line,” pausing, she was quick to say, “and on-line ordering, is another factor in our growth.”
The interesting thing about our global growth, according to Domino’s Pizza CEO, Patrick Doyle is that cracking the international code for success hasn’t been as difficult as one might think. “In fact,” he said in Forbes business magazine, “all over the world, pizza is a pseudo-Italian food that is about as American as apple pie. “And it is easy to change toppings market to market. In Asia, it’s seafood and fish topping that is most popular.
It’s curry in India, But half the toppings are our standard, familiar offerings around the world.”
“Local knowledge and ownership are critical to our success in this country and overseas,” Doyle explained. “And Domino’s stores are much more affordable around the world than most other fast-food franchises, he said, in part because the business is based on delivery and not on sit-down dining, so the outlets tend to be small and simple–adding, the system works because we just opened our 10,000th store, not in the U.S.A,, but in Istanbul, Turkey.”
LA FERIA NEWS took a ride with Domino delivery-man, Rolando Saldana. He has been with the company three years. Saldana took the order, prepared it, and “we” delivered it at noon to a local business–all within 30 minutes.” Of course, delivery time depends on how far the customer lives from Domino’s on Main street. Rolando also said; make sure you write in the article that we didn’t break any speed limits. Yes, Rolando, for the record, we didn’t break any speed limits.
The La Feria Domino’s Pizza is just more evidence of Domino’s global growth and rising success. For any questions concerning current specials or information about the company, please call Maria Martinez, General Manager, at (956) 797-2121 or visit the store at 700 N. Main Street, La Feria, Texas.
