Local Area Design Firm Celebrates 20th Anniversary
- Updated: February 3, 2015
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Megamorphosis, a Harlingen based architectural firm that has played a major role in the revitalization of many local area businesses and community centers, including the Reese in Harlingen and several projects in La Feria and other surrounding cities.
In January 1995 Meg Foster Jorn began providing Residential Architecture & Interior Design services as a sole proprietorship under the name of Megamorphosis Design. Her objective was to offer clients integrated architectural and interior design services.
Megamorphosis grew in project types and workload from a one person firm to a firm of seven by 2006.
In 2006 John Pearcy joined the firm. John significantly contributed to the diversity and quality of projects Megamorphosis delivered and became a partner in 2008.
In 2008 the firm incorporated and the firm’s name was changed to Megamorphosis, Inc.
Megamorphosis has designed over 700 projects to date and distinguished themselves as an “Award Winning” Rio Grande Valley firm committed to environmentally conscious projects with unique solutions and regional sensitivity.
Megamorphosis continues to work with the city of La Feria, having designed the FEMA Emergency Shelter Domes currently under construction on Pancho Maples and Main Streets as well as the recently completed redesign of the Bailey H. Dunlap Memorial Public Library.
