Rey Villarreal, La Feria ISD Superintendent and Victor Gonzalez, City of La Feria Mayor attended a one day event in Austin, Texas sponsored by Texas Association of School Boards that included panel discussions about successful business/education initiatives and a keynote address by nationally recognized author David Berliner, one of the authors of 50 myths and lies That Threaten Public Schools: The Real Education Crisis. This Event was designed to provide an opportunity for business and community leaders to join with education leaders to discuss the most effective approaches to partnering for student success.
