What was forcast as a week of intermittent rain was kicked off with a sudden bout of severe weather that rolled into the La Feria area from the west late last Monday night. May 11, 2015.
Wind sheers flattened crops and heavy winds knocked over trees and power lines while heavy rains pounded La Feria. Wind speeds reported at almost 80mph caused power outtages that lasted several hours.
