Varsity Cheerleaders Sponsor 39th Annual Cheer Mini-Camp

The La Feria High School Cheerleaders are sponsoring the 39th Annual Cheerleading Mini-Camp Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 12, 2015. This year, the little cheerleaders will attend the Mini-Camp daily from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the La Feria High School Main Gym. The cost per child is $40 which includes a Mini-Camp T-shirt, snacks, spirit stick, and a trophy. Participants must be at least 4 years of age or older.
Students enrolled in the City of La Feria Summer Recreation program will be walked to their respective location for Summer Rec after the cheer camp, Monday through Thursday.
The little cheerleaders will be divided into four groups where they will learn a cheer, sideline chant and a dance. Pre-Beginners include all four-year old participants and the younger 5 year olds. The Beginner group will consist of little girls who are five and a half and all six year old cheerleaders. Seven and eight year old cheerleaders will be part of the Intermediate group and all participants nine years and older will make up the Advanced group.
A recital program will highlight the little cheerleaders’ accomplishments on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the LFHS Main gym. Family and friends are invited to attend the program.
Spirit Stick awards will be presented throughout the week-long camp. On Friday, individual trophy awards will be presented to every participant. Special recognition trophies will be presented in all group levels at the recital performance.
Pre-registration will be Tuesday, May 26, Wednesday May 27, & Monday, June 1 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Lobby of the High School Main Gym. Students may still register the first day of Mini Camp. Tickets may be purchased from any La Feria High School cheerleader.
