Mercedes Lions Club Elects New Officers

Lions District 2A-3 Past District Governor Helen Muse installed the new officers of Mercedes Lions Club on June 17, 2015 at Cortino’s Restaurant.
Since the International Association of Lions Clubs will hold its convention in Hawaii this year, she presented a Hawaiian themed installation. The new officers are: President –Leo Villarreal, 1st Vice President – Oswaldo Castaneda, 2nd Vice President – David King, Recording Secretary – Lindley Lentz, Corresponding Secretary – Chuck McCutchen, Treasurer – Mary Bunton, Tail Twister – Laura McCutchen, Lion Tamer – Wally Bunton, the Board of Directors is comprised of all officers plus Larry Wyatt and Jim Downing.
The Mercedes Lions Club recently presented three scholarships to Mercedes graduating seniors and are currently involved in Texas Lions Camp providing a wonderful camping experience to handicapped children.
