The city of La Feria is celebrating its 100th year anniversary and to commemorate the occasion we are digging deep into our archives each week to bring you images and stories from La Feria’s colorful past.
This week we’d like to reprint photographs that have been sent to us by our readers. Some long time La Feria residents, some who lived here and later moved away. They give us a glimpse into the past and we’re grateful for these submissions. Please feel free to send more!

Early this year reader Lisa Dunlevy Bordelon contacted La Feria News by email.
“We have a number of old photographs that we are privileged to share with you in honor and memory of our remarkable mother, Lucile Wessels Dunlevy (1920 – 2014). Mom was the youngest of three children born in La Feria to H.D. Wessels and Elizabeth Brockmeier Wessels.”
