La Feria area students began the registration process last week for the 2015-2016 school year.
Parents of Pre-K to 4th graders noted something different this year as they registered their children for the 2015-2016 school year. Those grade groups have been divided into four divisions. The idea was to have a smoother and more practical registration process.
LA FERIA NEWS visited with Sam Houston Elementary School Principal Isabel Villarreal to see how things are going with the changes.
“Great,” she said, adding, “We are expecting around 532 students to sign up this year. With the earlier pre-school registration and the official registration August 11-13, things are very smooth and efficient for everyone–the children, their parents and the school administration.”

Carina Trujillo comes to sign up her two boys Abel and Hector. Principal Isabel Villarreal and Anna Castellano, PEIM clerk look on.
