La Feria Volunteer Fire Department Participates in National Night Out
- Updated: August 14, 2015
Members of the La Feria Volunteer Fire Department travelled to Santa Rosa on Tuesday, August 4th, to join the City of Santa Rosa and the Santa Rosa Police Deparment for this year’s National Night Out observance.
The event, which was held in the Cameron County parking lot, included Police and Fire Department demos, music, a free raffle, finger printing, games and school supplies.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, making neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits.
Kudos to the La Feria Volunteer Fire Department for representing our community at this event.
