Harlingen Medical Center Hosts Annual Charity Golf Tournament To Benefit Breast Cancer Survivors
- Updated: September 18, 2015
Harlingen – Breast cancer affects one in eight women. It is an illness that affects not only women, but their families, their friends, and beyond. If detected early, breast cancer can be treated and sometimes even erased completely. For women who are enduring this illness, or have overcome it, there is an extraordinary organization in South Texas that is helping them with a support system like no other! Ribbons of Hope is arming breast cancer survivors with wigs, turbans, bras and prosthesis, and, is more importantly, offering women comfort, encouragement, and emotional support! And, this year, Ribbons of Hope, will receive a helping hand from Harlingen Medical Center. They will be the beneficiary of the award-winning and nationally recognized hospital’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
The 5th Annual Harlingen Medical Center Charity Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015, starting at 7:00 a.m., at Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club, located at 1 Rancho Viejo in Brownsville.
“We invite the community to come and support this event by participating and supporting the charity golf tournament,” said Manny Chacon, Director of Business Development and Marketing at Harlingen Medical Center. “We look forward to having our participants enjoy the greens of one of the most exclusive golf courses in South Texas!”
