Lions Too Much For Bulldogs
- Updated: September 4, 2015
by Coach Jaime Acuna
The La Feria Lions scrimmage versus the Lyford Bulldogs was moved to Edinburg because of some heavy rainfall at Lion Stadium this past Thursday, but the weather didn’t slow down the lions explosive offense. The lions scored four touchdowns during the controlled part of the scrimmage. Lyford had difficulty keeping up with too much lions speed on the field. Four different lions scored for La Feria, further indicating that they have many weapons and go to guys. The lion defense also played very well against a high powered Lyford offense. The defense recorded four turnovers, five sacks, and more importantly shutout the visiting bulldogs. The lions went on to win the scrimmage four touchdowns to zero.
La Feria will now open up regular season play on Friday, August 28 versus the Donna North Chiefs. It will be an away game, but Lion Nation travels well and we can’t wait to see all the fans supporting these young men.
