Lions Fall To Pioneer 27 – 10
- Updated: October 2, 2015
by Coach Jaime Acuna
The La Feria Lions fought hard but came up short to the Sharyland Pioneer Diamondbacks last Friday night.
The Lions had an early lead in the game, 10 – 7, but Pioneer scored with less than a minute left in the first half to take the lead 17 – 10 at halftime.

The Diamondbacks controlled the ball for the majority of the second half and basically ran the clock out for the game. The Lions had difficulty versus the Diamondback running attack and just could not get anything going offensively.
La Feria hopes to bounce back from the tough loss when the Lions play host to the Progreso Red Ants at Lion Stadium on Friday, September 25th at 7:30 p.m. It will also be Homecoming for the Lions.
With the district opener just two weeks away, the Lions hope to get some key players returning from injury.
