Will he see Shadow?
- Updated: January 29, 2016
Our pulchritudinous puss, our impulsive office cat Shrdlu, won’t be with us early next week! That is, he will be off from work on Tuesday, February 2. That’s Ground Hog Day in the Valley.
If the ground hog comes out of his hole on that day and sees his shadow, he darts back into his subterranean home and that means we’ll have six more weeks of winter. If it’s cloudy and the vermint doesn’t see his shadow, winter is over.
You can’t make us believe otherwise.
But Shrdlu is skeptical. He doesn’t trust ground hogs. He’s going to do the shadow test himself come Tuesday.
We hope he doesn’t see his shadow.
