- Updated: April 3, 2016
For the seventh year, the city of La Feria continues the tradition of beautifying the downtown area with this weekend’s Trash Bash, to be held this Saturday, April 9, 2016.
Last year 265 volunteers participated collecting a total of 140 thirty gallon trash bags of garbage all over the city.
Check-in will begin at 8:00 am at the Scott Sloan Memorial Park Pavilion, located on Main Street and Lilac Avenue in La Feria. Groups will sign in, collect trash bags, water, and gloves and begin cleaning around the city from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm and then met back at the Scott Sloan pavilion for lunch, which will be provided.
La Feria is a KEEP TEXAS BEAUTIFUL affiliate participating in the Great American Cleanup Texas and the Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off, which is also on April 9th.
