Spring Job Fair to Take Place May 14th

Several local area businesses will be in attendance to vet prospective employees

LA FERIA – If you you or someone you know is looking for a job or a change in career, attend the La Feria Chamber of Commerce Spring Job Fair. The Job Fair will take place Saturday, May 14th from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the La Feria Recreation Center located at 901 Pancho Maples Drive, south of the Veterans Memorial Park/Sports Complex, in La Feria.
Whether it is full-time, part-time or seasonal work, job seekers can connect with dozens of employers at the fair. Many employers will conduct on-site interviews, so please come professionally dressed and have your resume ready. Employers in all fields will be in attendance, including La Feria Independent School District, UTRGV, Whataburger, Primerica Financial, Dairy Queen, Our Lady of the Lake University, ACT Call Center, the City of La Feria, Dish Network, Valley Metro, Job Corp, Cricket and many more.
Workforce Solutions of Cameron County will have a mobile computer lab on site offering free computer and internet access during the job fair so that applicants can immediately fill out and submit their online applications.
Job seekers who do not have transportation to the event can ride Valley Metro for free that day. Riders should call Valley Metro at 1-800-574-8322 to make accomedations.
Free child care will be available on site as well.
