La Feria Methodist Church to host Strawberry Shortcake Sunday Aug. 28

LA FERIA, Texas – First United Methodist Church of La Feria will host Strawberry Shortcake Sunday on Sunday, August 28 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Guests can purchase authentically southern (or “suthin’”) strawberry shortcakes made with honeybutter drop biscuits, fresh strawberries in natural strawberry juices and homemade whipped cream. The strawberry shortcakes will sell for $3, and proceeds will fund the mission projects of the United Methodist Women.
Guests can dine inside the church or they can bring a blanket and picnic in the church garden. FUMC-LF is located at 330 S. Main St., next to Tiny Town Park. Delivery is available for orders of 4 or more. For more information or to place an order, call (956) 454-1610.
