The TYFA Lions are now going on to the semi-finals where they will be playing against the Atascosa Aggies. If they La Feria Rookies Lions are able to beat the Aggies then they will be in the finals which will take place in Frisco, Texas.
The State Championship game will held at ‘The Ford Center at the Star,’ which is the indoor/outdoor practice field for the Dallas Cowboys. The team is led by Head Coach Moses Rivera of La Feria and several other coaches who have dedicated their time to help these young kids.
These children have dedicated themselves to the game and have worked hard all season. They practice Monday-Thursday for 2 hours in the evening and work on improving themselves as much as they can.
