La Feria’s 18th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade to Celebrate South Texas Style Christmas

This Saturday, December 10, 2016 the city of La Feria will host its 18th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade followed immediately by the annual Winter Festival.
The parade will once again form on Central Avenue and travel north on Main Street to it’s final destination at the La Feria High School parking lot.
This year’s parade is themed “A South Texas Style Christmas.”
The floats registered with the city last week will be competing for cash prizes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
The parade lineup traditionally begins promptly at 4:30 p.m. with the parade beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The judging stage will again be stationed at the intersection of Main and Industrial Way.
Immediately following the parade, friends and family are invited to join the La Feria community at the Winter Festival which will once again be held at the Lions Stadium west parking lot located at 901 S. Canal Street.
There will be food vendors, a carnival, games and music guaranteeing a night of Holiday fun for the whole family!
The La Feria Police Department will also be on hand to take toy donations for their annual toy drive.
The Winter Festival is scheduled to last from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
