Mighty Lion Band Bring Back Ten State Solo and Ensemble Medals

The Mighty Lion Band once again sent members to compete at the 2017 UIL State Solo and Ensemble competition, earning a total of 10 medals.
The contest was held Monday, May 29th, at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, TX.
Soloists Nathanael Salas (french horn) and Diego Hernandez (snare drum) earned 1st Division Medals while Nicholas Mendoza (alto sax) earned a Division 2 Medal.
The flute trio of Sabrina Morales, Jennyfer Dominguez, and Cinthia Monsibais, as well as the saxophone quartet made up of Nick Mendoza, Celeste Alejo, Zabdiel Rothschild, and Liana Reckward, earned Division 1 medals for their performances.
The 2016-2017 La Feria High School Band is lead by Band Director Eddie Benitez.
