La Feria Chamber Hosts QuickBooks Seminar
- Updated: July 28, 2017
Any businessman will tell you that the job isn’t done until all the paper work is complete and accurate. The challenge of choosing a low-cost, simple and efficient online accounting system was answered for many local businessmen at last week’s day-long QuickBooks Online seminar sponsored by the La Feria Chamber of Commerce.
The seminar was hosted by the La Feria Chamber at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) located on South Main Street.
The Chamber encouraged Valley business owners, employees and budding entrepreneurs to attend the valuable workshop. A good number made reservations, including one aspiring business lady from Mission, Texas.
The program was presented by Giovanna Givilancz of Salinas, Allen and Schmidt, LLP, a prominent Valley-wide company of Certified Public Accountants and Business Consultants.
Instructor Givilancz is a CPA partner with the group, and spoke their business language… She got right into her topic with the business people present as she explained how QuickBooks can automatically customize features such as lists of Products and Services for any business, The online accounting system can chart accounts, invoice fields, and best reports for your business.
“The system allows up to 7 users,” she explained, adding, “of those, 5 can be normal users and 2 accountants. The QuickBook system really is worth its weight for inventory tracking, and especially when Tax time rolls around and VAT computation is required–. It’s all right there at your finger tips.”
Givilancz walked the attendees through all the wide range of accounting features available, and patiently answered questions from those who had signed up for the Chamber sponsored seminar.
