- Updated: July 21, 2017
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a call statewide call to stand with law enforcement officers on the anniversary of an ambush-style attack that took the lives of five Dallas officers.
Law enforcement officers statewide were asked to turn on their red and blue lights for one minute at 10 a.m. Friday, July 7th.
Our La Feria Police Department and Volunteer Fire Department took part in this statewide call to stand.
The observance was organized by our Police Captain Armando Gonzalez and Volunteer Fire Chief Dave Phinney.
