Lions Claw Past Pirates 43 – 0

The La Feria Lions came into last Friday’s game knowing how important it would be to pick up a win against the Hidalgo Pirates. The Lions accomplished that goal by running past the Pirates 43 – 0 to improve their overall record to 5 – 3 and more importantly get their district record to 2 – 1 with one game remaining on their schedule.
The Lion offense amassed over 300 total yards and the defense had their third shutout of the year by holding the Pirate offense to under 200 yards and forcing three turnovers. The Lions will have an Open week before heading to Grulla to play for a District Championship on Friday, November 10 at Rio Grande City.
La Feria will have two weeks to prepare for the Gators.
With a District Championship on the line versus the Gators, we wish the Lions the best of luck as they prepare for their biggest game of the year. Roll Pride.
