Over 1000 toys were given to community children this year. The toys were distributed to each child by Santa’s helpers: El Centro Foods, the La Feria Lions Club, RGV AACOA (Car Club), Los Leones Restaurant, La Feria Chamber of Commerce and La Feria ISD volunteers. Santa and the Grinch were also present this year to help hand out the toys to the children.
This year the families also enjoyed the Free car show and free food.
“The Annual Christmas Toy Giveaway is made possible through the generosity and support of caring individuals and organizations throughout La Feria,” said Alma Martinez-Botello, Outreach/Event/Marketing Director for La Feria Chamber of Commerce.
“Lots of kids woke up early and had a chance to celebrate Christmas a few days early. Thanks to the kindness of El Centro Foods, the La Feria Lions Club, RGV AACOA (Car Club), Los Leones Restaurant, La Feria Chamber of Commerce it was a great success!” said Martinez-Botello.
