Fiesta de La Feria was held along Main St. on Saturday, February 17. The 25th annual celebration included music, food, a car show, contests and so much more. Local bands such as Ralph and the Cruisers, Los Angeles del Sur, and La Feria’s own Inevitable provided some entertainment as those in attendance got to sit and enjoy the day.
Food, a huge part of Fiesta, was sold by vendors both local and from outside the city. Tacos, brisket sandwiches, turkey legs, and a variety of drinks were only some of what the public got to enjoy.
This year’s Fiesta saw the introduction of three new areas- a dance area, the kid’s zone and a picnic table area.
“These areas allowed patrons to enjoy the festivities more by interacting with family and friends in a more relaxed atmosphere,” read a statement released by the city.
Mother- daughter duo, Nora and Diane, attended the festival where they sat in the shade by the kid’s zone and enjoyed the car show. Nora, who has been attending Fiesta for about 15 years, enjoys the festival because she believes it is a great place to be. For Diane this was her first time ever attending Fiesta de La Feria and plans to come back for future celebrations.
For the 25th year in a row, Fiesta de La Feria brought the community together for a good time. From the kid’s zone to the car show to the food and music, hundreds enjoyed Fiesta de La Feria 2018.
