Chamber to Hold Business Development Workshop

The area business community will be the recipients of a business development grant that the La Feria Chamber of Commerce has received from the state, the organization’s president announced.
Sunny Philip, eChamber president, said they are going to have a workshop to help businesses upgrade their computer systems and other areas as well.
“The idea is to help them improve their operations,” he said.
“We are talking about such things as excel, quick books and even customer service.”
Customer service is something every business should try to improve regardless of the services it provides.
The workshop will provide the basic tools businesses need and will train owners and employees on how go about implementing these tools.
Philip said the chamber has about 40 members.
He said business owners throughout the area will be invited to attend the workshop. That includes Santa Maria, Santa Rosa and, of course, the chamber members.
