La Feria and Santa Maria High Schools will hold simultaneous graduations this Friday, June 1st.
About 250 seniors will get their diplomas during a ceremony set to start at 7 p.m.at the football stadium.
That, however, could change if the weather does not cooperate. An alternative location is the school gym, Robert Munoz, the high school assistant principal, said.
La Feria Independent School District has four elementary schools and one middle and one high school, comprising a student population of more than 3,500.
In nearby Santa Maria to the south, close to 50 students will graduate from high school.
The commencement ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. this Friday at the school gym.
Santa Maria Independent School District has a student body of less than 700.
