Our Lady of the Lake Graduates Largest Number of Students

A total of 36 students from Our Lady of the Lake University graduated last week, making it the largest batch of students doing so in the 10 year history of the college campus in the Rio Grande Valley.

The graduation ceremony was held Thursday, April 10 in San Antonio, which is the university main campus.

And in April, each of the 36 students received a blessing during a ceremony held on the La Feria campus.

Patricia Blanco, the campus director, said Our Lady of the Lake is proud for reaching such a milestone.

“This is the largest number of students graduating from the college,” she said. “This is the most in the 10 years we have been here.”

Blanco said the graduates received their degrees in all three categories the university offers – bachelors, masters and doctorals.

“On behalf of the faculty, staff, students and the entire Our Lady of the Lake University Community we would like to congratulate all of our graduates,” Blanco said.

“We are incredibly proud of our graduates and wish each of them the best in all their future endeavors. To date, this is largest graduating class for the Our Lady of the Lake University Rio Grande Valley site and we look forward to continued growth and success.”
