Volleyball Update: Lionettes Look Polished
- Updated: September 28, 2018
by Billy Watson/LFN
ZAPATA – The La Feria Lionettes volleyball team has had much success going into district as they hold the second-place spot with a 4-1 record after defeating the Raymondville Lady Bearkats (25-22, 25-7, 25-17) on Sept. 18th.
The only loss the Lionettes have suffered thus far was a five-set match to the Hidalgo Lady Pirates, who currently hold the best record in 32-4A.
The Lionettes have two games remaining before second round of district begins, which becomes critical in terms of playoff seeding.
Nonetheless, the Lionettes are in prime position to make their case for a deep playoff run as well as the many possibilities that could earn the team another district championship.
