Anyone trying to find out what to do each weekend right here in town now has a new place to spend a a little time looking for bargains.
Mid Valley Flea Market has opened its doors at the corner of Mile 3 East off the east bound Frontage Road.
The market stays open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Daniel and Karen Salinas bought the property where a mobile home and recreational vehicle park used to be and decided to turn the place into an outdoor market, or pulga as it’s referred to in Spanish.
‘We gutted the place,” Daniel Salinas said, “and built this park with the idea to give people something to do.”
He said Friday is farmer’s market so vendors can bring home grown fruits, vegetables, plants, and canned goods.
Salinas said they had 12 vendors the first weekend they opened two weeks ago and hopes to have more once they find out about their place.
