Rio Grande Valley — The first 2019 baby at Valley Baptist Health System was welcomed to the world at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen. Born on January 1, 2019 at 12:18am, Maverick Jett Garza proudly made his entrance on New Year’s Day weighing in at 7lbs 13.2oz and measuring 20.25in. Both mom and baby are healthy and celebrating their first day of 2019. Proud parents are Oneida Perez and Raul Garza.
