Students, Parents Attend Registration for New School Year
- Updated: August 23, 2019

The first day of classes in the La Feria school district is Monday, Aug. 26 but the high school campus was pretty busy every day last week.
That was because Monday, Aug. 12 was the first day for students to get registered for the 2019—2020 school year.
Several stations were along the school hallway as school staff took information from each student mostly accompanied by a parent.
Cynthia Chairez, the school principal, said Monday, Aug. 12 was registration for seniors and every day thereafter was for junior, sophomore and freshman students through Thursday of last week.
Students also registered on Thursday and Friday under a late registration period.
La Feria Academy, W.B. Green Junior High and Noemi Dominguez Elementary also had their registration period last week, while C.E. Vail, David C. Sanchez and Sam Houston elementary schools held their registration sessions during the first week of this month.
