Lions Win Thriller Against Tigers

The La Feria football team keeps winning.
The Lions won their third consecutive non-conference game, this time defeating the Mercedes Tigers by four points, 35 – 31.
The Lions scored 7 points in each of the three quarters and 14 points in the fourth quarter.
Their opponents scored 7 points in the first quarter, 3 points in each of the second and third quarters and 18 points in the fourth quarter.
The Lions were scheduled to play the Port Isabel Tarpons on a fourth non-conference game at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20.
Before last Friday’s game, the Tarpons had won only one of their first three games.
