Lions Spear Tarpons 47-7

The La Feria football team is on a roll.
The Lions have won their fourth consecutive non-conference game by devouring the Port Isabel Tarpons by 40 points during Friday’s Sept 20 game. The final score was 47-7.
The Lions scored 7 points in the first quarter, 28 points in the second, 7 points in third and 6 points in the fourth.
The Tarpons scored only 7 points in the third quarter.
The Lions were scheduled to play the Rivera on a fifth non-conference game this time at Sams Memorial Stadium in Brownsville at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26.
The Lions went into the game with a 4-0 standing.
